We do not claim any copyright or usage rights to your AI-generated content. Upon full payment, you receive unlimited usage rights including commercial exploitation (e.g., selling your books). However, please note: The copyright status of AI-generated content is not yet legally settled. You bear the risk that third parties may assert claims. For details, see our Terms of Service (§7).

Yes! Scribomate is a web-based application, so you can access your account and all your books from any device with a modern browser. Your work is automatically synced across all devices.

No, there's no limit on the number of books you can create. You can work on as many projects as you like. The only limitation is your credit balance for AI-powered features.

The Whiteboard is your creative brainstorming space. Through conversation with our AI, you can explore ideas, develop concepts, and discover the essence of your story before moving to structured creation.

The Book Creator guides you through defining your book's key elements: genre, setting, target audience, characters, plot, and narrative style. The AI generates suggestions based on your input, and you select or customize the ones that fit your vision.

The Section Creator helps you write individual chapters or sections. It follows a structured workflow: Story Beats (planning), Drafts (writing), Critique (analysis), Rewrite (improvement), and Summary (finalization).

You can export your books as PDF or EPUB (requires credits). Illustrations (PNG) and audio files (MP3) can be downloaded for free.

No. Provided SFX and music may only be used embedded within videos and audiobooks created through Scribomate. Standalone or separate commercial use is not permitted. See our Terms of Service (§7.5) for details.

Scribomate uses a pay-as-you-go credit system with no subscriptions. Each AI operation consumes credits based on the complexity and model used. You can purchase credit packages anytime and use them at your own pace.

No! Scribomate has no subscriptions or recurring payments. Unlike other writing tools, you simply buy credit packages as one-time purchases. This means no monthly fees, no auto-renewals, and no cancellation hassles. Pay only for what you use.

We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment processor Lemon Squeezy. All transactions are encrypted and secure.

For digital content, the withdrawal right expires upon first use of your credits (§356 BGB). During checkout, you confirm that you understand this. If you haven't used any credits yet, please contact us within 14 days of purchase for withdrawal options. For details, see our Terms of Service (§5).

Currently, we don't offer special discounts. However, our pay-as-you-go model without subscriptions already provides excellent value compared to subscription-based alternatives. You only pay for what you actually use.

When your credits are depleted, you can still access all your existing books and content. You simply won't be able to use AI-powered features until you purchase more credits. Your work is never locked or deleted.

We have a strict Zero Training Policy: Your content, prompts, and creations are never used to train AI models. Not by us, not by our AI providers. Your creative work remains exclusively yours. This is a core commitment we make to all our users.

Database (Supabase) and app hosting (Railway) are located in the EU. Media files (images, audio, video, PDF/EPUB) are stored in the user's Google Drive. AI processing uses Google Vertex AI — partly EU, partly global — always with enterprise DPA, zero training, and zero retention.

Zero Data Retention means that your prompts and AI-generated content are not permanently stored by our AI provider (Google Vertex AI). Once the response is delivered to you, no copy remains on the AI processing servers. Only you have access to your content.

Your books and content are stored as long as your account is active. Whiteboard conversations can be deleted by you at any time. After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. For legal reasons, contract records (email, consent) are retained for 8 years per German tax law.

When you delete your account, all your books, content, and personal data are permanently removed within 30 days. Only minimal contract records required by law are retained. You can also delete individual books or whiteboard conversations at any time.

Yes! Under GDPR (Art. 20), you have the right to data portability. You can request a full data export in a machine-readable format by contacting us at info@scribomate.ai.

Yes, your data is protected with industry-standard encryption. We use TLS for data transmission and AES for storage. Supabase provides Row Level Security ensuring only you can access your content. Media files are stored in your own Google Drive. AI processing uses Google Vertex AI with zero data retention and enterprise DPA.
